PURPOSE: To make it possible to execute rotating phase matching of shafts among themselves and rotating phase matching of a shaft and a penetration device automatically and quickly at simple and low priced construction.

CONSTITUTION: A shaft penetration device is such that the upper end of an excavation shaft is held by a shaft holding device of a shaft driving device and that the penetration of the excavation shaft is executed by lowering the shaft driving device while revolving the shaft holding device mentioned above. Rotating phase of the shaft holding device in the case of the completion of penetration is detected by an angle detector 19, and it is stored in a storage section 9a. In the case the shaft holding device is connected to an extending excavation shaft, the shaft holding device is revolved by a controlling motor 13 under the conrol of a comparison section 9b to match rotating phase of the shaft holding device to standard rotating phase held by the extending excavation shaft, and in the case the extending excavation shaft is connected to the existing penetration shaft, rotating phase of the shaft holding device is matched to rotating phase stored by the storage section 9a mentioned above.
