Abstract:
To improve the sealing function of a labyrinth seal for preventing oil leakage to a pump chamber, in a vacuum pump.
Annular shaft seal ring bodies 49 and 50 are fitted and fixed into/to rotary shafts 19 and 20 within fitting holes 47 and 48 which are formed in a rear housing 14. The labyrinth seals 57 and 58 are provided between end faces 492 and 502 of the shaft sealing ring bodies 49 and 50 and bottom forming surfaces 472 and 482 of the fitting holes 47 and 48. Resin layers 59 and 60 are fixed to the end faces 492 and 502 of the shaft sealing ring bodies 49 and 50.
