To provide a shake correcting device and a shake correction camera by which shake is highly accurately detected and corrected and a shake correction operation is smoothly executed.
A shake correction lens 5 is held by a lens frame 7. Springs 60, 61 and 62 bias the lens frame 7 so as to be brought into press-contact with steel balls 10a, 11a and 12a. Also, hook parts 7g and 7h are freely movably fitted in a guide shaft 9. Thus, the lens frame 7 is slid on the steel balls 10a, 11a and 12a, and is made movable in a direction orthogonal with an optical axis I. The lens frame 7 is biased by the springs 80, 81 and 82 in the direction rotating by centering the optical axis I. Also, the hook parts 7g and 7h are brought into press-contact with the guide shaft 9, so that backlash between them is eliminated. Thus, the shake correction lens 5 is prevented from being rotated around the optical axis I during shake correction operation, so that the shake is highly accurately corrected.
