To control the shaking of an end part in a large-scale floating body without receiving any influence of a tide level.
This is a shaking controlling method of a large-scale floating body, which is made up so as to control the vertical shaking of a floating body end 2 with the resistance of dynamic water pressure acting on both upper and lower surfaces of a horizontal plate 5 after connecting this horizontal plate 5 to be situated the depth of water, where wave force is decreased, to the end part 2 of this large-scale floating body 1 floated and moored onto the sea surface 3. In this connection, the dynamic water pressure is not produced to such a slow movement as a tidal change and thereby the floating body follows in a free state. In addition, a chained weight in length reaching a seabed 4 is hung down from the end part 2 of the large-scale floating body 1 floatably moored onto the sea surfaces 3 even at high tide as well as in time of maximum shaking, and thereby underwater weight (w) of the chained weight is made so as to be increased or decreased with the vertical shaking of the floating body end part 2, and thus this shaking is controlled by imparting such a load as reverse in the shaking direction to the floating body end part 2.
