Title:
SHANK FOR INJECTION MOLDING SHOES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08308607
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To aim at preventing a shank from moving, by clamping a metal shank by a pressboard having a greater area than the metal shank, by applying a paste, which is excellent in adhesion to a resin of a middle sole cloth and a sole material, to both faces of the shank to ensure its adhesion.

CONSTITUTION: Both surfaces of a metal shank 3 are clamped from a middle sole non-treading portion by a pressboard 4 a little smaller than a heel configuration to produce a shank 1 by caulking 5 with a rivet. Because of sufficient force of restitution against weight and impact force on the non-treading portion during walking, it is easy to walk, and legs are not tried. A polyurethane paste is applied to a face in contact with an injection resin which becomes a shoe sole. This paste has a good adhesion to a polyurethane resin or polyvinyl chloride which is a shoe sole material. Polyvinyl acetate or ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion which is excellent in adhesion to a cloth and the pressboard 4 is applied to the upper face 8 of the shank 1 and the side to be adhered to a middle sole cloth of an instep. Since an adhesion area is made broad, adhesion after molding is sufficient and does not result in separation due to bending during wearing.
