To restrain the cost of a device and its occupied space by miniaturizing the device required for forming in the case of forming a metal stock into a forming shape being the repeat of a prescribed shape.

This forming method, forming the metal stock 50 into such a shape that two or more prescribed shapes continue, is provided with a first process and a second process, and the first and second processes are repeated in this method. In the first process, plastic working is applied to one part of the metal stock 50 with a press 1 so that one part of the metal stock 50 becomes the prescribed shape. In the second process, the metal stock 50 is relatively transferred with respect to the press 1, and the other part of the metal stock 50 adjacent to one part of the metal stock 50 applied plastic working in the first process is set in the position of the press 1.
