Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape memory alloy wire for clothing, capable of partly modifying flexibility and consisting of a piece of seamless shape memory alloy wire.
SOLUTION: The shape memory alloy wire for clothing has two or more transformation temps., partly different from each other, on a piece of seamless shape memory alloy wire of identical composition. This shape memory alloy wire is composed of an alloy having ≥50.3 atomic % Ni concentration and containing Ti and Ni as essential components. At the time of producing this shape memory alloy wire for clothing, a seamless wire 1 composed of a memory alloy material of identical composition is partly inserted into a furnace 4 through a hole 3 made in a part of a furnace wall 2 and heat-treated under the prescribed conditions, and further, the other part of the wire 1 is inserted into the furnace 4 and heat-treated under another conditions different from the above conditions, by which the shape memory alloy wire for clothing, having different transformation temps., can be obtained.
