To provide a shape straightening device for a metallic strip capable of giving the adequate tension to the metallic strip, controlling the tension, and reducing the equipment cost and a place required for installation.
The shape straightening device 10 for the metallic strip has a roller leveler 1 (a shape straightening means) for straightening the shape of a metallic strip 100 by giving the cyclic bend to the metallic strip 100 by a plurality of rollers, a pair of pinch rolls 2, 3 for respectively holding the metallic strip 100 on the inlet side and on the outlet side of the roller leveler 1, and a rolling-reduction device 4 capable of applying the rolling-reduction force P to the pair of pinch rolls 2 on the inlet side. An elastic material in which the roll diameter is deformed by the rolling-reduction force P is used for a material of a roll surface layer portion in a pair of pinch rolls 2A, 2B on the side with the rolling-reduction device 4 provided.
