The roofing material is composed of a corrugated type box cover-shaped metallic roofing material 1, in which approximately U shapes are combined, and a cushioning body having a shape fitted to the roofing material 1 and consisting of a flexible material, and an approximately L-shaped bracket 22 projected from the inside of the box-cover shape is penetrated to the cushioning body. A key-shaped projecting strip section 23 is constituted at an end section in the longitudinal direction of the roof material and a recessed groove section 24 having a shape that the projecting strip section is engaged at another end section, and the projecting strip section and the recessed groove section of another roof material are engaged. The upstream side of the roofing material is fixed onto a horizontal muntin by a nail 34 or a screw, the upstream-side top face of the roof material and the downstream- side underside of another roofing material are fitted by inserting the upstream side of the roofing material between the downstream-side lower end face of another roofing material having the same shape and the approximately L-shaped bracket 9 and a nail section for the roofing material is concealed, the bracket compresses and fits the cushioning body for the roofing material and the water ascending phenomenon of the infiltration of rainwater is prevented.
