To provide a method of communicating profile data associated with a calling device to a receiving device.

A profile associated with a calling device is stored on a profile server that is in communication with a telecommunications service provider. A receiving device receives a call from the calling device and is provided with the profile during call set-up. Some or all of the profile is used in connection with the incoming call on the receiving device. This feature is known as Enhanced Caller-ID or RCLID (Rich Calling Line Identification). The profile server is connected to a wireless network via a WAN (Internet).
