PURPOSE: To make uniformity of a tire favorable by making eccentricity of the tire decrease and preventing a trouble in vulcanization, by performing centering of green tire by making a positioning component of a chucking device fit over a positioning component of a bug cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: Centering of a green tire W is performed by making a positioning component 11a provided on the center of the bottom of a chucking device 4 and a positioning component 11b provided on the center of the top of a piston rod of a bug cylinder 8 fit each other. Inflation of the green tire is started under a state of the centering and simultaneously with the foregoing the green tire W is descended down to a predetermined position through the bug cylinder 8 and shaving of the tire is performed at the descended position. With this construction, as the centering is applied to the green tire always at the time of loading of the green tire in a vulcanizing process of the tire and during the shaving of the tire, simultaneously with possibility of prevention of a trouble in vulcanization of the tire by reducing a quantity of eccentricity of the green tire uniformity of the tire can be made favorable.
