Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shawl having high cold-protection effect when worn together with a Japanese dress.
SOLUTION: This shawl 10 for a Japanese dress is produced by folding a nearly elliptic collar cloth 1 along the major diameter at a position corresponding to nearly 1/3 of the minor diameter to form the narrow part as the inner collar part 1a and the broad part as the outer collar part 1c, applying a proper number of tucks to the outer edge 1d of the outer collar part to shorten the outer edge to be equal to the outer edge 1b of the inner collar part, sewing the edges of the inner and the outer collars with each other to form a bag- shaped collar part 4 and attaching the obtained collar part to the nearly center part of the upper edge of the shawl main body 5 at the outer edge side facing the inner collar part 1a inward. The gap formed between the neck and the back collar of a Japanese dress is automatically closed by wearing the shawl as a collar part 6 having a length shorter than the attaching length.
