Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance productivity and yield by elongating and then perforating a polyamic acid film by 10% or more and by press-bonding this film to a conductor layer to complete imidization resulting in conductors.
CONSTITUTION: A semicured polyamic acid film elongated by 10% or more is provided with predetermined openings such as device holes. Thereafter, the film is press-bonded to a conductor foil to complete imidization, and the conductor foil is etched or so to form a required pattern. The elongated polyamic acid film is punched, cut, alkali-etched, and laser-worked. Further, imidization is completed to fill openings with a required filler, the conductor foil is resist- patterned as predetermined and etched. This process can improve productivity without decreases in alkali resistance, solvent resistance, and the like intrinsic to a polyimide film.
