PURPOSE: To obtain a shearing device which is capable of executing pointing and shearing by one process, by constituting so that a turning body which is rotatable in the direction meeting at a right angle with the shaft core of a wire rod, and to which a shearing edge provided with a gear part has been installed, and a turning body provided with a gear part engaged with said gear part are turned in the same or reverse direction centering around the supporting shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A wire rod M is inserted into an inserted through-hole 11A of a shearing edge 11, and after that, the first cylinder 15 and the second cylinder 16 are respectively operated in the direction as indicated with an arrow C and an arrow A. As a result, the first turning body 12 is turned in the direction as indicated with the arrow C and the second turning body 13 is turned in the direction as indicated with the arrow A, therefore, the gear part 11A of the edge 11 engaged with the gear part 13b of the turning body 13 is also rotated in the direction as indicated with the arrow A. Accordingly, shear droops MA and MB are formed on the wire rod M by operating the torsion force in the circumferential direction following the shearing force and a rotation of the edge 11 itself, on the side of the wire rod, and they are sheared along a shearing line MN. Subsequently, when a shearing wire rod SM has arrived right under a discharge pin 2, it is discharged to the outside of the system by stopping the operation of cylinders 15, 16, and making the pin 2 descend.
