PURPOSE: To provide a shearing machine to discharge small sheared workpieces toward the front as the strength and machining accuracy of the machine are kept.

CONSTITUTION: A shearing machine 35 shears a workpiece W by the cooperation of a lower and an upper cutting edge 43, 47. The sheared workpiece moves toward the rear side of a work table 41 and mounts on an oscillating shooter(work carrying means) 53. Since the oscillating shooter 53 can carry the workpiece back and forth according to its inclinating direction, it moves the workpiece forward or backward as occasion demands. The work carrying means may be vertically oscillatable, but may be vertically parallel-movable. Since a work discharge port 57 is provided at a central height position near both the right and left ends of a lower frame 39, a lowering of the rigidity of the lower frame resulting from sectional defect can be extremely lessened.
