Abstract:
To provide a sheath heater and a manufacturing method thereof capable of adjusting the amount of protrusion of a lead terminal without cutting the protruding end portion of the lead terminal.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a sheath heater 10, after a tube 3 containing a heating wire 1 and an insulating powder 2 is rolled, a lead terminal 4 is inserted into an open end 3a of the tube 3 and connected to the heating wire 1. The amount of protrusion of the lead terminal 4 protruding from the open end 3a of the tube 3 is adjusted according to the length of the rolled tube 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
