This shed-forming apparatus is equipped with a hook member connected to heddle for warp and vertically movable knives m1 and m2 which can be hooked by the hook member. In hook member, a spring member is provided in a supporting member or a carriage. An actuator capable of affecting influence on the spring member is provided so as to or so as not to selectively hook the hook member in vertical movable knives. At least three spring members having spring leg part shapes are further provided in each hook members h1, h2 and h3. At least two spring members are formed as at least double layer spring. Hook parts cooperated with movable knives m1 and m2 are provided in at least two spring leg parts. One or more actuators capable of selectively affecting influence on various kinds of spring members are provided. A holding hook is provided for at least part of spring member located at a position influenced by the actuator. A holding hook acting on at least one of a spring member and holding the spring member is provided at the position influenced by actuator.
