Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet binding device having improved sheet bundle adhesive force in adhering a sheet bundle by hot-pressing it every time a sheet is sequentially laminated.SOLUTION: When pressing and heating a sheet bundle P with a heating-side heat source 211, a toner adhesion unit causes moisture that has moved toward a support stage 217 for the sheet bundle P to remain on a sheet member 230, and causes the moisture to move to a surface of the sheet member 230 on the sheet bundle P side, the sheet member that has been moved toward the heating-side heat source 211, before laminating the next sheet bundle. This makes it possible to supply the surface of the sheet with moisture, improving sheet bundle adhesive force when adhering the sheet bundle by hot-pressing it every time a sheet is sequentially laminated. Further, it is possible to supply a sheet surface with moisture in a simple configuration without providing a water tank.
