Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet binding device capable of improving accuracy for aligning a sheet bundle while increasing the sheet binding number.SOLUTION: The sheet binding device includes a staple tray 301 where a plurality of sheets P are loaded on a placing surface, sheet conveying means for conveying the sheet P on the staple tray 301, a sheet bundle aligning part 310 for aligning ends of the plurality of sheets P in the sheet conveying direction and ends of the plurality of sheets P in the sheet width direction to each other on the staple tray 301, and sheet bundle pressing means for pressing a sheet bundle Pb in the bundle width direction with a pair of pressing members. There is provided a moisture supply part 340 such as moisture supply means for supplying moisture to a sheet end of the sheet bundle Pb in which the ends of the plurality of sheets P in the sheet conveying direction and the ends of the plurality of sheets P in the sheet width direction are aligned to each other on the staple tray 301 by the sheet bundle aligning part 310.
