Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique stably binding a sheet bundle with adhesive.SOLUTION: A sheet binding device includes: an adhesive application section; a pressure receiving section; and an elastic support section. The adhesive application section applies adhesive to a sheet while pressing the adhesive against the sheet. The pressure receiving section supports a surface of a side of the sheet where the adhesive is not applied by a predetermined pressure receiving surface and receives pressing force applied to the sheet by the pressure receiving surface at the time of the application of the adhesive to the sheet. The elastic support section elastically supports the pressure receiving section such that the pressure receiving surface can retreat when the pressing force is applied to the pressure receiving section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
