To obtain a sheet for a block mat having sufficient mechanical strength and excellent prevention effect on suction in spite of having thin thickness.
The sheet for a block mat has a constitution in which in a mesh-like woven fabric composed of warps 1 and wefts 2 and having ≤1 mm thickness lengths of sides (a) and b of an approximately rectangular void 3 are each 500-1,000μm, tensile strength is ≥2.94 kN/5cm and the mesh-like woven fabric has a water permeation amount of ≥300 cm3 measured based on the soil permeability test JIS-A-1218 at 1 cm2 water permeation area at 10 cm water head for 60 seconds of water permeation time. The mesh-like woven fabric is preferably constituted of entanglement texture or imitation gauze texture. The mesh-like woven fabric is preferably processed with a resin.
