Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet bundle binding device which enables a user to select a binding method and enables the binding process to be performed quickly and efficiently.SOLUTION: A process tray is disposed on a lower stream side of a paper discharge opening of a paper discharge path. First binding means for staple binding is disposed in a sheet carrying-in area where a sheet is carried into the process tray from the paper discharge opening, with shifting being permitted. A manual binding position is set on a device front side, which is outside the carrying-in area, and a no-staple binding position is set on a device rear side. The first binding means is fitted to a device housing, for shifting, between a multiple binding position and a manual binding position, and second binding means is attached to the no-staple binding position.
