Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rapid and efficient trimming for a sheet bundle, when the sheet bundle is rotated for cutting, without causing damages of the sheet bundle such as wrinkles by the rotation.SOLUTION: A sheet bundle cutting device comprises: sheet bundle rotation means 10 which holds a sheet bundle at a prescribed cutting position Cp; drive means Mt which rotates the sheet bundle rotation means at a prescribed speed; cutting means 20 which cuts an edge of the sheet bundle rotated at the cutting position by the sheet bundle rotation means; and control means 55 which controls the rotation speed of the sheet bundle rotation means by the drive means. The control means is constructed so that an average rotational speed of the sheet bundle rotation means or a maximum rotational speed thereof can be selectable as one of a plurality of rotational speed stages. Rotation speed of the sheet bundle rotation means is controlled by the control means to be high when a distance difference δx, δy between a distance from rotation center of the sheet bundle rotation means to one side sheet end and a distance from the rotation center of the sheet bundle rotation means to the other side sheet end is a reference value or less, and low when the distance difference δx, δy is more than the reference value.
