Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device and an image forming apparatus capable of accurately separating and feeding various kinds of sheets.SOLUTION: Angle changing means 103 changes the angle θ1 which is formed by: a tangent line, at a nip part NP, of a feeding roller 31 and a separation roller 32 for separating sheets which are brought into pressure contact with the feeding roller 31 and are fed with the feeding roller 31; and a straight line connecting the center of a roller shaft 32a of the separation roller 32 and the center of a rotation shaft 34. The angle changing means 103 includes a cam 37 brought into pressure contact with the rotation shaft 34 of a separation roller holder 33, a spring 36 for making the rotation shaft 34 brought into pressure contact with the cam 37 by energizing the rotation shaft 34, and driving means for driving the cam 37.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
