PURPOSE: To provide a sheet conveying device smoothly conveying sheets.

CONSTITUTION: This sheet conveying device is provided with a conveying means conveying sheets S and a static eliminating needle 3 serving as a static eliminating means removing the charges of the sheet S conveyed by the conveying means. A curl applying roller 2 serving as a curl applying means applying a curl to the sheet S is provided in the upstream of the static eliminating needle 3, and the curl applying roller 2 applies a curl to the surface of the sheet S so that the sheet S is protruded in the direction that the static eliminating needle 3 is arranged.
