PURPOSE: To enable stable conveyance of sheets in a way that a sheet is conveyed in a state to be nipped at both ends, by providing a number of blocks provided with grooves with which end parts on both sides of the sheet are engaged are formed in the opposing sides of endless chains for conveyance positioned facing each other.
CONSTITUTION: In a device which conveys sheets 1, e.g. printed circuit substrate, a pair of endless chains 2 for conveyance positioned facing each other are provided, and the chains 2 are run and guided on the respective guides, extending along a conveyance route, through rollers 4 located to the lower part thereof and situated in a mandering manner. The chain 2 is provided with a number of blocks 2' respectively provided with annular grooves 3 which point to the inside and with which the end parts on both sides of the sheet 1 are engageable. Conveyance of the sheet 1 is held in a state in that the both ends of the sheet 1 are engaged internally of the grooves 3 of the blocks 2' between a pair of the chains 2 and 2. In this case, the chains 2 are lightly pressed inwardly through the force of leaf springs 5 mounted to the outside of the chain, and the force of the leaf springs causes nipping of the sheet 1.
