Abstract:
To provide a sheet conveying system for appropriately performing pre-purge.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying system 1000 comprises a cutting part 660, and a control part 210 for controlling a conveying part to execute pre-purge for discharging a succeeding sheet being conveyed at the occurrence of conveyance abnormality into a second sheet discharge tray 78y on the upstream side of a resultant sheet of the conveyance abnormality when the conveyance abnormality occurs in a conveyance path during execution of a job for discharging a sheet into a first sheet discharge tray 78x. When the succeeding sheet is a predetermined kind of sheet at the time when the pre-purge is executed, the control part 210 makes the cutting part 660 cut the sheet and causes the cut sheet to be discharged into the second sheet discharge tray 78y.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
