Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the sheet conveying and its drying with low energy consumption by forming the upper limit of a space from a sheet conveying cylinder having a deflector member disposed at the front side to a sheet conveying cylinder disposed at the rear side, and spraying the air into the space toward the cylinder disposed at the rear side from an air sprayer.
SOLUTION: The space 9 from a sheet conveying cylinder 2 disposed at the front side to a sheet conveying cylinder 3 disposed at the rear side is substantially sealed except an air flow outlet 10 disposed at the end of the deflector member 8 of the side of the cylinder 2 disposed at the front side. The other end of the member 8 is formed of an air sprayer 6, which is disposed at the member 8 revolvably by a movable sealing joint 25. The spraying direction of the sprayed air 34 can be regulated by the revolvable disposition of the sprayer 6, and the air 34 is directed toward the operating area 27 of the cylinder 3. The air 34 realizes the stable sheet conveyance without fluctuations at the cylinder 3.
