To provide a sheet cosmetic to clean the skin, giving refreshing feeling, suppressing the sweat smell, free from skin whitening defect, leaving no stickiness and having excellent aging stability and provide a method for producing the cosmetic.

The sheet cosmetic is produced by coating a substrate with an emulsion composition containing a silicone, a silicone derivative having a solubility parameter difference of ≤1 from the silicone and an expansive clay mineral. The invention further provides a method for the production of the sheet cosmetic. The emulsion composition preferably contains a water-insoluble powder in addition to the silicone, the silicone derivative and the expansive clay mineral, and the water-absorption of the water-insoluble powder is preferably ≥1 ml/g.
