PURPOSE: To enable manual label cutting or separation by providing an adhesive sheet separating base integrally at a rotary blade or one of fixed blades in a rotary cutter.
CONSTITUTION: A base face 8 substantially connected to the blade tip 7 of a moving blade 2 and extended in the direction of a sheet feed path is formed at the moving blade 2, and the downstream side tip 8a of the base face 8 is formed into a separation assisting edge cut into a substantially acute angle. On the upper face side of a sheet S, there is provided a second fixed blade 9 disposed facing downward in such a way as to cross the sheet S in correspondence with the vicinity of the tip of the base face 8 below on the sheet feed downstream side of a fixed blade 1. At the time of manually cutting the sheet S, that is, label paper, the downstream side of the sheet S is lifted to bring the sheet S into pressure contact with the blade tip 9a of the fixed blade 9 so as to cut the sheet S at this part. In the case of separating the label paper, the mount layer on the downstream side of the sheet S is wound by a winding roller, and during this winding, the lower face is brought into pressure contact by this tension so as to separate the upper label paper layer by the separation assisting edge 8a.
