A sheet discharge device 100 for conveying a sheet 300 printed at a print part 220 of a printer 200, along a conveyance route 110 includes: a sheet accumulation part 130 provided beyond a terminal end part 111 on a downstream side in a conveyance direction F of the sheet 300, in the conveyance route 110, for storing the sheets 300 discharged from the terminal end part 111; a door 140 for opening and closing, between in a closed state where the sheet accumulation part 130 is separated from the outside, and in an opened state where the sheet accumulation part 130 communicates with the outside; and a door opening/closing control part 150 for, when input of an opening operation signal of the door 140 is not received, keeping the door 140 in the closed state, and when input of a cut signal is received, changing the door 140 from the closed state to the opened state.
