Title:
SHEET EJECTING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003073006
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide to a paper ejecting device having a constitution capable of efficiently correcting curling of a sheet, restraining temperature rise at a curl correction part, and restraining occurrence of hot offset without making a structure of a device large or without causing thermal deterioration of a used member.

This sheet ejecting device discharges sheets, onto which toner images are fixed with heat and pressure using a heating member and a pressurizing member that are oppositely arranged in a carrier path of the sheets carrying toner images. This device is equipped with a decurl mechanism 18, which curves the sheets in a direction opposite to a curling direction of the sheets to correct curls. This decurl mechanism comprises a roller 18C oppositely abutting on the toner images carried by the sheets, and backup rollers 18A and 18B, which are arranged in parallel in the circumferential direction of the roller 18C positioned on the toner image side, can abut on the peripheral face of the roller 18C, can nip and convey the sheets along the peripheral face of the roller oppositely abutting on the toner image side. One roller 18C out of rollers constituting the decurl mechanism 18 is formed with a cooling member 18D.
