To provide a sheet-fed multicolor offset printing machine, in which an enough space is left between printing units and, at the same time, the workability of a printing preparatory work such as the replacement of plates and of a maintenance work is improved by putting plate cylinders in the same phase.
This sheet-fed offset printing machine has plate cylinders 1 and blanket cylinders 2 having mutually the same diameters, an impression cylinder 3 having a diameter, which is twice as large as that of the plate cylinder 1 or of the blanket cylinder 2, and an intermediate cylinder 4 having a diameter, which is three times as large as that of the plate cylinder 1 or of the blanket cylinder 2. An arrangement angle between a straight line that connects the center of the impression cylinder 3 with that of the intermediate cylinder 4 to a horizontal axis is made to be 18°. As a result, the printing preparatory work such as the replacement of the plates can be performed by one operator in a short period of time and, at the same time, more higher efficiency of maintenance work can be realized.
