Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a time for preparation and to simplify the operation of a press by a short circuit type inking arrangement with no inking area.
SOLUTION: In the sheet-fed rotary press for multicolor printing, at least one short circuit type inking arrangement 49, 51, 52, 53 is so disposed as to belong to each printing surface 36, 37, 38, 39 of plate cylinders 33 and 34 disposed corresponding to an impression cylinder 14 at the center, and each short circuit type inking arrangement has one chamber doctor 64, 66, 67, 68, one anilox roller 59, 61, 62, 63 and at least one form roller 54, 56, 57, 58. The form rollers are so disposed that they are always in contact with the anilox rollers to which they belong and that they can approach the plate cylinder and separate therefrom alternately and ink only the printing surfaces to which they belong. The length in the circumferential direction of the printing surface is smaller than or equal to that in the circumferential direction of the form roller belonging thereto.
