Abstract:

PURPOSE: To automatically adjust feeding operation property at all times by performing fuzzy inference in accordance with the amount of eventual dislocation of the confronting condition of a plurality of rollers for feeding sheets from the normal condition, and controlling the driving of an adjusting means so as to restitute the confronting condition to its normal.

CONSTITUTION: The confronting condition of a gate roller 6A and feed roller 5A to fed sheets 2 on a stacking plate 1 one by one is adjusted by a motor 9A with the aid of an arm 7A. The transport condition of the fed sheets 2 is sensed by a light emitting element 12A and a light receiving element 13A. A statistical processing part 16 determines the mean of transported condition and the standard deviation on the basis of the sheet transported condition. In accordance with the results from this statistical processing, drive control signals for the motor 9A are determined by a fuzzy computation part 17 in conformity to the fuzzy inference. When the roller confronting condition is dislocated from the normal condition, the drive of the motor 9A is controlled so as to restitute the confronting condition into the normal in accordance with the amount of dislocation.
