PURPOSE: To prevent flowing a surface of a sheet by a sheet feeder of a sheet- feed press.

CONSTITUTION: A stop finger 6, which allows a sheet to pass to a sheet feed cylinder 2 by swinging downward and prevents it from passing by swinging upward, is provided. An upper feed roller 4 which separates the sheet from a feed roller 5 by swinging upward and sends the sheet together with the lower feed rollers, is provided. When a front edge of the sheet faces a gripping claw 14 of the sheet feed cylinder, the upper feed roller is swung downward by a first cam mechanism linked to the sheet feed cylinder. When the upper feed roller is swung downward, the stop finger 6 is swung downward by a second cam mechanism linked to the sheet feed cylinder. After the sheet has passed, the stop finger is swung to return upward by a third cam mechanism linked to the sheet feed cylinder.
