Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an apparatus and reduce manufacturing costs by reducing the number of signal lines.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus 100 generates a two-bit sheet feeding reference signal changing to a high voltage pulse or a low voltage pulse on the basis of a registration sensor 501 detecting the arrival of a printing sheet 10 to registration rollers 240a, 240b, and transmits it to a sheet feeding device 400 through a single signal line 20. When receiving the sheet feeding reference signal, the sheet feeding device 400 causes operation of intermediate conveying rollers 431, 432, 433 to be synchronized with operation of pre-registration rollers 230a, 230b on the basis of an operation pattern about the intermediate conveying rollers 431, 432, 433.
