PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which erroneous detection may occur depending on a type (envelope) of a sheet bundle stored in a sheet storage unit 503 even when a rear end guide 504 for positioning a rear end is correctly positioned.SOLUTION: When setting of a sheet bundle of a sheet storage unit 503 is for an envelope, even if it is detected that a rear end guide 504 is not correctly positioned, the detection result is not notified to a user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
