Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire property of a sheet to be used using a sensor for detecting sheet separation from a roll at automatic paper feeding.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device includes a sensor for detecting a tip of a sheet separated from an outer periphery of a roll in which a continuous sheet is wound, feeds the sheet while changing a rotation direction of the roll to a first direction from a second direction based on the condition that the sensor detects the tip while the roll is rotated in the second direction, and acquires information on property of the sheet based on sensor output when the roll is rotated in the second direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
