Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device in which a user can select from automatic paper feeding and manual paper feeding.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device includes: a first sensor for detecting a tip of sheet separated from an outer peripheral surface of a roll; and a second sensor for detecting passage of the tip in a passage through which a sheet is fed, and determines whether to conduct automatic paper feeding or not depending on detection by the second sensor. When conducting automatic paper feeding, the sheet feeding device rotates the roll in a second direction and, when the first sensor detects the tip during the rotation, changes the roll rotation direction from the second direction to a first direction to feed a sheet. When not conducting the automatic paper feeding, the sheet feeding device rotates the roll in the first direction relative to the sheet manually fed by a user, to feed the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
