A feed roller 13 includes a cylindrical main body 28A and an elastically deformed plate-like bent part 28B provided in the outer peripheral surface of a rotary body in its outer periphery and integrally rotated. For the bent part 28B, its base end part 28a is fixed in the outer peripheral surface of the main body 28A, its tip part 28d is made free and the bent part 28B is elastically contacted with a sheet P and a separation pad 12 via a high friction material 27 in the contact part in the intermediate part thereof. During separation of the sheet P, since the bent part 28B is elastically deformed, any compression springs or guide are not necessary in the separation pad 12 side.
