Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the slack of a print surface by movably supporting a roller longitudinally of the sheet when the sheet is conveyed in an excess feeding state to a forced sheet feeding means at the time of forward line feeding, and setting the roller to a load to the feeding of the tractor when the roller is moved to the rear at the time of reverse line feeding.
CONSTITUTION: A veil roller 9 is brought into pressure contact with a platen 3 at the time of forward line feeding, the rotary shaft of the roller 9 is disposed forward of a sheet conveying direction in the long hole of a roller holder 8 by the rotary driving force, and freely rotated. A sheet S interposed between the platen 3 and the roller 9 is conveyed at a slightly faster speed than the feeding speed of a forced tractor 1 by the rotary force of the platen 3 to apply a tension. At the time of reverse line feeding, the tractor 1 and the platen 3 are both rotated reversely to move the rotary shaft of the roller 9 rearward in the long hole, and the surface of the roller is brought into contact with the load site of the holder 8. A braking force is applied by the roller 9 to the sheet S to prevent the slack of the sheet.
