To provide a sheet folding device capable of downsizing and improving folding accuracy.SOLUTION: A sheet folding device comprises: a folding processing part (1) for executing folding operation for forming a fold line on a sheet; a sheet guide part having a movable guide plate (320) for changing a direction guiding the sheet to the folding processing part; and a control part (350) for controlling operation speed of the folding operation corresponding to the amount of slack of the sheet calculated based on a position of the movable guide plate and the amount of change of the movable guide plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
