Abstract:
To provide a folding processing device in which the sheet length subjected to folding processing becomes uniform regardless of the basis weight of a sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet folding device C conveys a sheet toward a folding roller pair 34 which is arranged on the downstream side and has a nip part 39 which performs prescribed folding processing by a conveyance roller pair 33 which is arranged on the upstream side. A folding loop formation space 50 is formed between the conveyance roller pair 33 and the folding roller pair 34. A thrusting member 35 is abutted with a folding spot to be a fold of the sheet suspended into the space 50 and moves from the upstream side toward the folding roller pair 34. A control unit 120 for controlling the driving of the folding roller pair 34 performs control so as to start the driving of the folding roller pair 34 when the thrusting member 35 reaches a prescribed position before moving to a position of delivering the sheet to the folding roller pair 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
