Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically, completely package a wire coil with a sheet by a method wherein a number of inclinable and rotatable swing bars are radially provided on a carriage which is able to move back and forth and is located opposite to a stand where the wire coil is placed, and the swing bars are brought in action by the forward movement of the carriage.
CONSTITUTION: An apparatus mainframe consists of a stand 11 where a wire coil 1 is mounted, and a carriage 6 which is located opposite to the stand 11 and is able to move back and forth in the axial direction. A number of inclinable swing bars 4 are radially provided on the carriage 6 and are rotatable in the circumferential direction of the wire coil 1 via a base plate 2. To package the wire coil 1 by folding a sheet, the carriage 6 is moved forward with the swing bars 4 remaining opened to squeeze the edge of the sheet. Then, the edge of the sheet is pushed inside the hollow part of the wire coil 1 by using the tips of the swing bars 4 to cover the inner circumferential face. At this time, the base plate 2 is turned to prevent damages on the sheet and to make pushing work smooth.
