To provide a sheet folding device capable of providing a fold with high precision.
This sheet folding device is provided with a pair of folding rollers 34 nipping a predetermined part of a sheet S conveyed in a conveyance passage 20 by a nip part to give a fold, a folding motor 38 driving the pair of folding rollers, pairs of delivery rollers 22, 24, 30, 32 conveying the sheet along the conveyance passage while nipping the sheet in the nip part, conveyance motors 42, 44 driving the pairs of delivery rollers, a controller 40 driving the folding motor and/or the conveyance motors, and a driving switching mechanism 41 for driving and connecting the pairs of delivery rollers with the conveyance motors or the folding motor selectively. By driving and connecting the pairs of delivery rollers with the folding motor when folding the sheet by the pair of folding rollers, the pairs of delivery rollers are driven in synchronization with the pair of folding rollers to drive and connect the pairs of delivery rollers with the conveyance motors when conveying the sheet along the conveyance passage.
