Abstract:
To improve a positional accuracy of folds formed on a sheet by a sheet folding device.SOLUTION: A folding roller pair 34 nips a predetermined position of a sheet fed by a thrust plate with a nip portion 39 to form a fold. A thrust plate 35 is placed so as to abut a sheet hanging in a loop-forming space at a position where the sheet intersects an extension line of a third path portion of a transport path linearly extending upstream from the folding roller pair 34 as a predetermined position of the sheet. The transport path includes a first path extending upstream from the folding roller pair 34, and a second path provided upstream of the first path and at a position above the first path. The thrust plate 35 moves along an extension of the first path from a position below the second path in a vertical direction, and is disposed so as to push a predetermined position intersecting the extension of the first path of the sheet hanging in the loop-forming space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
