Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled sheet gauge controller with the improved control accuracy, by operating the roll gap from the previously stored relation between the rolls' crossing angle, the rolling load, etc., and the mill's elongation, and from the inputted optimum rolls' crossing angle, etc., and by inputting thus operated roll gap to the screw down device.

CONSTITUTION: The arithmetic unit 2 stores the previously inputted influence data of the rolls' crossing angle 0 on the mill's elongation; the arithmetic unit 1 operates the optimum rolls' corssing angle 0 from the rolling condition like as the sheet gauge, the sheet breadth, the draft percentage, etc.; the output of the arithmetic unit 1, the run-out side sheet gauge (h), the sheet breadth B, and the rolling load P, are inputted to the arithmetic unit 2 which then operates the roll gap S and inputs it to the screw down device 3 for controlling the sheet gauge. Hereby, the controller can cope with the mill's elongation due to the rolls' crossing angle. Moreover, the optimum rolls' crossing angle is inputted to the arithmetic unit storing the previously inputted influence of the rolls' crossing angle on the mill constant M, in order to operate the rolling load deviation and the roll gap deviation, and to input these deviations to the screw down device; hereby, the rolls' crossing angle can be corrected for the mill constant M.
