PURPOSE: To provide a sheet hold device which can position both the side ends of a sheet and the rear end of the sheet quickly and accurately in a simple structure by providing a guide means guiding a sheet regulating means along each circumference passing through the corner sections of reference positions which are determined in advance every each kind of sheets.

CONSTITUTION: Each side end regulating means 4 and 5 regulates the side ends of a sheet 25, each rear end regulating member 8 and 9 regulates the rear end of the sheet 25, and each sheet regulating means 2 and 3 including the side end regulating means 4 and 5 and the rear end regulating members 8 and 9, is installed in such a way as to be capable of producing movement or displacement. And each guide member 23 and 24 is provided so that each sheet regulating member 2 and 3 can produce movement or displacement along each circumference passing through the corner sections of reference positions determined in advance each kinds of the sheets. When the sheet 25 is changed in kind, the simple operation for changing each sheet regulating means 2 and 3 in accordance with guide means 10a and 11a, permits each regulating position of the side end regulating members and each regulating position of the rear end regulating members to be accurately determined.
