PURPOSE: To perfectly prevent a sheet from causing a jam due to a curl of paper, by providing a shutter member concurrently for use as a guide member which shuts off an introducing path by detecting the sheet to pass through the introducing path or a Y-shaped branch part while deflects the reversing sheet to be guided into an inverting conveyance path.

CONSTITUTION: A sheet P introduced into a passage 2 from a station A is advanced toward an inverting chute part 1 from a Y-shaped branch part S and retracted into the chute part 1 by paired rollers 3, and if a rear end side Pb passes through the branch part S to open a path of light by detectors 16a, 16b, their output is turned on, reversely rotating the paired rollers 3 through a control circuit, thus the sheet P is reversed. While the detectors 16a, 16b, being turned on, inputs an on-signal to a one-turn clutch through the control circuit, and interlocking to the clutch being turned on, a shutter member concurrently for use as a guide member 19 moves to advance into the branch part S and shut off the sheet outlet of a side of the branch part S. Protrusion of the guide member 19, pressing the bottom curled part of a sheet end in the carry-out direction, prevents the sheet from causing a jam.
